Description
Sunflowers are favorites of a lot of people. The only problem is they do not last long once picked. I gathered these on a sunny day and put them into a tall clear vase. I wanted to express in this painting the spontaneity that I feel when I looked at the sunflowers. I wanted them to look alive and fresh. Even though they were in a vase I still wanted the background to give the feeling of an airy sky.
